Which setting for which learner?
Grade 2 covers addition and subtraction to 20. Grade 3 starts the times tables to 5, Grade 4 mixes multiplication and division to 10, and Grade 5 moves to fractions with answers simplified. The Missing-number mode ("6 × ___ = 42") is the strongest test of real understanding — use it once straight practice looks easy.
For a quick assessment, print the same settings twice: one attempt at the start of the week, the same format at the end. The score line on each sheet makes progress visible.
Which grade are these for?
Grade 2 covers + and − to 20, Grade 3 starts times tables to 5, Grade 4 mixes × and ÷ to 10, and Grade 5 moves to fractions. But grades are a guide, not a rule — pick the level where your learner gets about 8 in 10 right.
Can I print an answer key?
Yes — flip 'Show answers' to Shown and print a second copy. The answers appear in bold in place, so marking is a straight side-by-side comparison.
Are the problems random?
Every sheet is freshly generated, so you can print unlimited unique practice sheets — and 'New problems' re-rolls the current sheet without changing your settings.
What's the Missing-number mode for?
Problems like 6 × ___ = 42 test whether the fact is genuinely known rather than recited in order. It's the best pre-test before moving up a level.
How long should a session be?
Ten focused minutes beats an hour of grind. The 12-problem setting is deliberately short — finishing builds more momentum than half-completing.
