Why generate instead of downloading a fixed PDF?
Most printable paper sites give you one fixed file. Ours is made to order: choose the exact grid spacing, ruling height, page size and ink colour, watch the preview update, then print. Same three clicks, but the sheet is actually right.
Are these really free?
Yes — every sheet, unlimited prints, no account, no email and no watermark. The only mark is a small footer credit on some printables, and paper sheets don't even carry that.
Can I print A4 and US Letter?
Both. Switch the page size in the generator and the sheet regenerates to fit exactly — no scaling, no cropped margins. A4 is 210×297 mm; Letter is 216×279 mm.
How do I save a PDF instead of printing on paper?
Click Download/Print, then choose 'Save as PDF' as the destination in your browser's print dialog. You get a clean vector PDF at full quality.
Why does my grid print slightly off-size?
Check your print dialog isn't set to 'Fit to page' or 'Shrink to fit' — choose 100% or 'Actual size' and the 5 mm squares measure a true 5 mm.
Can I make the lines lighter to save ink?
Yes — drop the line weight slider and pick a light grey or light blue ink colour. Faint grids still guide writing but barely register on the ink tank.
Can schools and businesses use these?
Unlimited printing for classrooms, offices and clubs is welcome. No attribution or licence needed.
