How the difficulties work
Easy gives you 40 starting numbers, medium 32, hard 27 and expert 24. Fewer givens means more deduction — expert puzzles will ask for pencil marks. Every puzzle is generated fresh from a complete valid grid, so it always has a solution.

What's the 4×4 kids grid?
A first sudoku: numbers 1–4 only, with eight starting numbers. Same rules — each row, column and box needs 1 to 4 exactly once. Most children manage it from about age 5.
I'm new — how do I actually start?
Scan for a row, column or box that's nearly full and fill the obvious gap. When you're stuck, pick a number and check where it can still go in each box. Pencil marks in corners are not cheating.
What does 4-per-page mean?
Four smaller puzzles on one sheet — the classic booklet format for travel and waiting rooms. The 8-puzzle booklet button prints two of those pages plus solutions in one go.
Can I print the solution?
Keep 'Include solution page' on and the answer grid prints as the final page, with the filled-in numbers shown in blue so you can see what was given versus solved.
Which difficulty should I choose?
Easy (40 givens) for learners, medium (32) for a coffee-break, hard (27) needs systematic pencil marks, expert (24) is a proper sit-down. When in doubt, print one of each.
